ABLP to Intensify Election Campaign

Political Leader Gaston BrowneAntigua St. John's - The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) will intensify its election campaign next month with a series of public rallies.

Political Leader Gaston Browne said the first rally will be held on November 7 at Knuckle Block in Gray's Farm.

Londel Benjamin, the candidate who replaced former ABLP senator Gail Christian, will outline his plans and policies for the constituency during his debut address.

"It is time when we have to step up our game and at the national party level from next month, we will be having a series of major public rallies," said Browne.

He noted that the party is doing very well in St John's Rural West, and the aim is to ensure that the incumbent prime minister, Baldwin Spencer, is unseated.

"You know that there is a tendency almost invariably (that) every time there is a change of government, the prime minister loses his seat," Browne said. "We have to make sure that Prime Minister Spencer is no exception."

The ABLP held several townhall meetings last week in a number of constituencies, which were said to be successful and well attended.

I would rather vote too, and have done on many occasion just like everyone else. But, what happens when you realize you're being dealt the same DEAD hand over and over and over again? I refuse to be bamboozled once again by a bunch of deadbeats. And you know what, I will continue to complain, BEFORE, DURING and AFTER any election or Government that is corrupt and thieving, that is my right, whether I vote or not. Until a HUMAN party steps up to bat for Antigua and Antiguans, I will continue to COMPLAIN and call them out. There is a better future for this country, but unfortunately for the time being we are at the mercy of a bunch of cretins and delinquents. How can anybody in their right mind keep voting for the same people and expect a different outcome? How?

LadyLuck, I would rather vote and choose the government that I want to govern my country than not to vote and allow someone else to vote and choose for me. People vote to make sure the right candidate wins, so if you don't vote, then you don't complain later.

Prime Minister Baldwin Spencer has a wealth of experience, my dear friend, from hands-on training he received as a young man with the Antigua & Barbuda Workers Union, consequently he served as a leader of the organization. He also serve as president of the Caribbean Maritime Aviation Council and was a member of the House of Representative. An O Level education is what students of a secondary school receive, so if that's all the education you think Londel Benjamin need to qualify him for this job, you're sadly mistaken. I will have you know that Prime Minister Spencer, in order to prepare himself for what he is now, studied Social Leadership and Community Development in Canada. Labor Relation and Economics at the University of Oxford in England, and he studied Labor and Industrial Relation System at Oslo University in Norway. Londel may popular and liked because of his dealing in football, but that and his O Level education is not nearly enough to qualify him for the job people wants him to undertake.

By the way, Spencer is a failure. Only rose to the rank of assistant general secretary. Double dunce.

Gaston, what are you going to call the PM this time, especially now that you are the top boss? What dirty, filthy, distasteful names are you going to call the PM on the platform now that you are in charge? Will you be rallying the youth vote with your vile epithets?
Asot, what will run in the streets for you this time? Money, money, money? If not and it is blood, whose blood? I cannot imagine that Antigua people still considering you both as potential leaders of this blessed country.

Londel "Mucky Duck" Benjamin does not have what it takes to beat Prime Minister Spencer: He simply doesn't meet the proper standard and training necessary to perform this particular type of job. And I'm really concern every time people go out and nominate someone just because he or she is popular (but not fit for the task) rather than looking for someone with the appropriate ability, skills, and training.

Gaston I need to ask a question or two. When you're party is elected how will you treat managers who go over their board head and go to the PM because dem say dem want more money because they say the board paying a non national too much even though they don't do any work. They have all signed a letter to air their greviences to go cabinet today.

Balldwin me ah warn you nah trust the DR n his side kick that come to you because the only work dem do ah create mischif as de negar at. FCIB. De board at FSRC hab plenty fault but dem right how dem treat de Dr n sidekick.
